The Annual Washington Auctioneer’s Association Convention will be held Sunday and Monday, October 9-10, 2005, at the Red Lion Seattle Airport, Seattle, Washington.
This year’s event features Dennis Kruse, CAI. Kruse is the President of the National Auctioneers Association (NAA), the largest professional auctioneer’s organization in the nation. Kruse has been an auctioneer, real estate broker, sales manager, secretary and treasurer for Kruse Auction Companies in Auburn, IN. A member of the NAA and Indiana Auctioneers Association since 1964, Kruse is president of the Reppert School of Auctioneering, Inc. He is a current member of the Indiana House of Representatives and has been elected to seven terms of office.
A highlight of the convention will be the 6th Annual Northwest Champion Auctioneer Contest to be held Sunday night at 7 p.m. Auctioneers from Washington, Oregon, Idaho and Montana, who belong to their State Associations, are eligible to compete. There is a $500 cash prize for the winner in the senior division. A junior division, open to auctioneers with three years or less experience, will also be held.
The Washington Auctioneers Association convention begins at 8 a.m. Sunday and ends at noon on Monday. The registration fee is $150 per person.
